Coty has boosted its beauty and fragrance offer in Hainan with a series of new branded boutique openings in the new Block C of the CDFG Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex.
Global brands from within the Coty stable, including Burberry Beauty, Gucci Fragrances, Chloé, Miu Miu and Marc Jacobs have all opened new spaces in the mall, with some such as Hugo Boss and Chloé opening first time stores.
The Chloé boutique, which was created in line with the theme of the French “art of the bouquet”, is the brand’s inaugural stand-alone beauty boutique in Hainan. During the Chinese New Year holiday, the shop offered limited edition gift sets for customers.
Hugo Boss’s new Sanya outlet is the brand’s only bricks-and-mortar store in the Chinese duty-free sector and Coty says it has already attracted the attention of influencers and KOLs looking to share the new experience.
Elsewhere, premium skincare brand Lancaster has opened a branded spa room in Hainan’s first multi-brand spa centre, offering the Lancaster Cellular Youth Recovery Treatment for VIP shoppers.
The adjacent Gucci Beauty and Burberry Beauty boutiques have been crafted as destination locations, with the Gucci store covering almost 100sqm of retail space to become the brand’s largest beauty flagship in Hainan, offering the brand’s signature range alongside activities and floral trolley activations.
The Burberry Beauty boutique features a curated selection and is only the brand’s third flagship store worldwide. Since it’s launch, the brand has reported a 40% year-on-year increase in sales of its Burberry Goddess fragrance line.
