From Indigenous pride to Gucci glamour, the 2024 Junos were a night of fashion and self-expression

March 25, 2024

Last night’s Juno Awards red carpet was a celebration of self-expression, featuring an incredible array of fashion-forward looks. Artists wore stunning pieces from international brands like Gucci to local Canadian talent, and the work of many top stylists made for a head-turning evening. The stars didn’t just dress to impress — they dressed to express.

“In the past, I felt disconnected from style,” said Canadian actor and film producer Elliot Page. “Now that I feel more comfortable and excited to put on clothes, I do start to understand more in terms of self-expression.”

Double nominee and performer at last night’s broadcast, Shawnee Kish, said, “It’s a representation of your spirit. When I was younger, I was teased for my braids. So, to be here — it makes me emotional because it’s important to feel that pride, being Indigenous.”

The Junos have become one of Canada’s most exciting nights in fashion, not just because the artists bring standout looks but also because their style goes beyond the surface, reflecting deeper personal and cultural narratives. Watch our highlights reel to see what people wore and what they had to say.
