April 8, 2024

Moncler is taking over Milan Central Station, Birkenstock has announced London-based artist and jewellery maker Jyrell as its second artist in residence, and Progress Running Club has joined forces with Carhartt. On top of that, Swatch is looking to the moon, and LOEWE Paula’s Boutique has blessed us with a new fragrance. If you like the sound of that, keep reading to see what you need to know in our Monday Briefing below.

Dior’s dreamy B57 Low Sneaker merges sport and luxury

The Kim Jones-conceived Dior B57 sneaker perfectly fuses retro sportswear and elevated luxury. The low-top design combines materials that offer suppleness and comfort, ideal for everyday wear. Across the sidewall, an embroidered “CD” logo contains the Dior Oblique pattern, also used on the highly coveted Dior x Nike Air Jordan 1 silhouette, which exemplified Kim Jones killer take sneakers. If you like the look of these, head to Dior’s online store or your nearest Dior Boutique to get your hands on a pair.

LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza Cosmic is sorting us out for summer

If this weekend’s half-warm weather got you buzzing for summer, then fear not. LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza Cosmic will have you smelling like summer with a quick spritz of its fruity, woody, and ambery mist. It’s the first fragrance to debut in the LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza range and is inspired by the intriguing spiritual awakenings of cosmology, blended with the earthy pleasures of psychedelia – basically, it smells like fun in the sun. LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza Cosmic will be available from April,18 via the LOEWE fragrances website.

Moncler taking over Milan Central Station

Moncler doesn’t do things by halves, as seen with its mega St. Moritz FW24 show and last year’s West London takeover for the Art of Genius. Now, the Italian luxury label has set its sights a little closer to home, transforming Milano Centrale railway station into a public gallery for its immersive exhibition, “An Invitation to Dream,” curated by Jefferson Hack. The exhibition will see all the billboard and screen-based advertising sites in the station re-wired to create a Dreamscape of images and quotations from creative visionaries. Large-scale text pieces and slow-motion portraits will soar above the hustle and bustle of one of Italy’s busiest train stations below, inviting passers-by into a cultural conversation that lasts far beyond their visit. The exhibition will run from April 15-21.

Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY unleashes the Bitchy Bag

There are bags with attitude, and then there’s Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY’s Bitchy Belt bag, which takes a classic leather bag and packs it with a monstrous cool. In a campaign video, the bag, named Mr Sprinkles, attacks fellow Vet surgery customers with its roaring mouth buckle as a nervous Veterinary surgeon attempts to perform surgery on the bag. If you think you’ve got what it takes to tame the Bitchy bag, grab yours here.

As Britain’s oldest sportswear brand, Admiral has seen its fair share of European footie championships and all the highs, lows, and just about everything in between that comes with the tournament. Now, Admiral is marking a new chapter in its history with its “The Team Dressers” collection, which serves as an ode to ‘80s football fan culture and the clothing worn on the terraces. Launching in the run-up to Euro 2024, the collection puts forward classic team colours of teams ranging from West Ham to England for a seasonless capsule collection rooted in Admiral’s impact on football. The collection is available to purchase via the Admiral website.

Now, it’s gone worldwide, opening up in Japan and opening a new store in East London. To celebrate the location, Progress Running Store is teaming up with Carhartt WIP for a series of graphic T-shirts and hoodies, which will be available exclusively at Progress Running Club’s online store.
