Cara Delevingne attended the The Olivier Awards in London on Sunday evening, where she presented an award alongside her ‘Cabaret’ co-star Luke Treadaway.
Gucci’s new creative director Sabato De Sarno is using this deep and rich oxblood hue – Rosso Ancora – to mark the beginning of Gucci’s new creative chapter.
It is a pretty shade and is – at this present time – considerably less annoying than at Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Valentino PP Pink.
However, I’m wondering how this winter hue is going to translate on the red carpet this spring/summer.
Because if Cara’s custom Gucci gown is any indication as to how this colour will be eased into the warmer months, it could be a long frustrating summer on seeing this colour on the red carpet.
Pairing a light blue colour with this rich shade doesn’t work. At least for me.
Before getting to the point that I feel that the bodice isn’t very flattering, the blue part is washing Cara out.
