This upcoming Saturday, April 19, the Crossroads Cruisers are set to organize their yearly Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show at Parkway Church's parking lot. The event promises an impressive display of over 130 vehicles accompanied by live music, raffle prizes, and food. Since its inception in 2000, this gathering has attracted participants not only from nearby areas but also from distant cities like Corpus, San Antonio, and New Braunfels. Attendees can look forward to awards for the top-performing vehicles, with unique RTIC cups featuring the club’s emblem handed out as trophies.
The show will recognize excellence through various categories such as Best of Show, Best Interior, Best Paint, Best Engine, and Kids' Choice. Winners in these categories will receive oversized RTIC tumblers as tokens of appreciation. Registration is exclusively available on-site, with no prior online sign-ups necessary. Each entry costs $35 per vehicle, and all proceeds go towards supporting local charities.
Tim Hermes, President of the Crossroads Cruisers and Chairman of the event, expressed gratitude for the generous sponsors including Atzenhoffer Chevrolet, Dale’s Fun Center, Mac Haik, and numerous others who contribute significantly to making the event a success. These sponsors have fully funded the custom t-shirts given to participants, which feature logos of all contributing organizations.
Hermes highlighted that Brother Gary Moses plays a crucial role in advertising and managing the event alongside the team. This community-focused event raises funds entirely dedicated to local causes, having contributed approximately $44,000 to 22 non-grant-receiving charities in recent years.
As the vehicles line up for registration, attendees can anticipate a vibrant atmosphere filled with camaraderie and shared passion for automobiles. All funds raised will be channeled back into the community, reinforcing the spirit of generosity and collaboration that defines this annual tradition.
