Establishing its first foothold in Hong Kong a quarter-century ago, BBR has witnessed exponential growth across the region. Notably, the Singapore branch, inaugurated in 2012, has rapidly evolved into a pivotal hub within Southeast Asia. According to Rudd, this city-state's fine wine market has advanced significantly in recent years, with strong collector networks playing a crucial role. He highlighted that due to Singapore's compact size and closely-knit community, trust and exemplary service are paramount, as news travels swiftly among connoisseurs. Despite global challenges leading to staff redundancies, the Asian market remains a beacon of hope, particularly with promising developments like reduced wine taxes in Bangkok offering fresh opportunities.
Innovative strategies are also driving BBR's future ambitions. The launch of an auction division in late 2024 aims to leverage both traditional and digital platforms, targeting enthusiasts worldwide.
