Basketballer Caltlin Clark just made history when she hit the 2024 WBNA Draft red carpet this week.
The WNBA star, 22, was the number one pick for the 2024 season and arrived at the official draft night dressed head-to-toe in Prada.
Indiana Fever’s Clark stunned in a satin Prada mini skirt and matching jacket, a sparkling crop top – completing the look with a tiny Prada purse. She also donned a pair of chic Prada sunglasses for her red carpet walk.

The well-dressed WBNA player looked every bit the part as she made her way into the annual basketball event.
But it wasn’t just her dazzling outfit that caught the eyes of fashion watchers. It was also the fact that Clark is the very first athlete in WBNA or NBA history to be dressed by Prada for the draft.

“It’s very special,” the athlete said in a very shared to WNBA’s Instagram.
“The first time Prada has ever dressed a male or female for WNBA or NBA draft so pretty cool.”
After being picked for Indiana Fever, she said at the event: “I dreamed of this moment since I was in second grade, and it’s taken a lot of hard work, a lot of ups and downs, but more than anything, just trying to soak it in.”
At the draft, player Angel Reese was also dressed by designer Christian Louboutin.
Fashion brands have been sponsoring and dressing athletes for years.
‘It’ bags that have stood the test of time
And the WBNA’s increasing popularity has presented a unique opportunity for designers wanted to dress young, popular players who are on their way to becoming international superstars.
In an email written to Associated Press, Elle writer Rose Minutaglio expressed why this is a huge moment for women’s sport – and fashion.
“With more eyes on the league, players recognise the opportunity to showcase their personalities through their style,” Minutaglio said.
“Because of glaring pay discrepancies, fashion partnerships and brand sponsorships will continue to play a big role for female athletes.”
