Boots shoppers can get a range of premium beauty treats for less – including several makeup bag staples that have earned thousands of rave reviews.
The high street giant is offering £10 off selected makeup favourites from Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent, Urban Decay and IT Cosmetics exclusively on its website, with the chance to get top-selling foundations, mascaras, eyeshadows and setting sprays for less. Prices start from as little as £17.50 for the Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette, which has seen its price drop down from £27.50 and includes six nude matte shades.
The number one bestseller in the sale also comes from Urban Decay – the All Nighter Setting Spray is now £18.50 down from £28.50, promises to keep makeup looking fresh for up to 16 hours “without fading, smudging, or settling into fine lines”. Also available on Amazon for the same price, the spray has an overall rating of 4.7 out of five stars on the Boots website based on more than 5,000 reviews from shoppers, with 94% saying they would recommend it to a friend.
Fans of the setting spray hailed it as “brilliant”, with many saying it “worked like a dream” and helped their makeup to last “all day and night” – even when holidaying abroad in scorching weather or with menopausal hot flushes, according to reviews. However, a few shoppers said it caused their skin to break out, while a handful of others weren’t fans of the smell.
The second top favourite among Boots shoppers that has seen its price reduced is the YSL All Hours Foundation, which is now on sale for £29.50 with more than 30 shades to choose from. This foundation, which is designed to provide up to 24 hours of full coverage with a “weightless, light as air feel”, also has a rating of 4.7 stars and comes recommended by 96% of Boots shoppers.
Reviewers praised the foundation as “absolutely beautiful”, saying it left their skin with a “healthy glow” and an “immaculate cover that lasts all day long” while still feeling “lightweight”. Some commented that they were unable to find the right shade to match their skin tone, however, with a couple of people saying it made them look “orange”.
And coming in third place in the sale is the Lancôme Hypnôse Custom Wear Volumising Mascara, which can be snapped up for £19 instead of £29, and claims to increase the look of lash volume by up to eight times while providing “perfect lash separation” without clumping. The mascara has also earned a 4.7-star rating on average, with 96% of more than 1,500 Boots shoppers recommending it to others.
Those who love the mascara have branded it the “best ever”, saying “nothing else compares” thanks to its “incredible” lash coverage which they said lasts all day with no smudging. However, not everyone was a fan, with a few shoppers describing it as “too thick and sticky”.
