Community Efforts to Combat Hunger in Southern Wisconsin
2025-04-18

A month-long initiative is underway in Madison, where residents can enjoy meals at local eateries while contributing to a noble cause. Throughout April, the Food Fight Restaurant Group collaborates with Second Harvest Foodbank to alleviate hunger in southwestern Wisconsin. This partnership spans over a decade and a half, showcasing an enduring commitment to making a difference in the community.

Visitors to any of the 15 participating locations in Madison and Middleton have the opportunity to order from a specialized menu designed for this campaign. Each purchase contributes a dollar towards supporting individuals struggling with food insecurity in the region. Moreover, patrons are encouraged to enhance their contributions by adding donations directly to their bills or requesting donation options for take-out orders. Notably, Tito’s Handmade Vodka has pledged a generous $5,000 donation, while Delta Beer Lab introduces a unique brew, 'Hop it Forward Pale Ale,' with proceeds also benefiting the cause.

Inspiring collaboration and generosity, such initiatives highlight the power of collective action. By setting a target of raising $15,000 this year, the campaign continues its legacy of providing over 650,000 meals to those in need over the past 15 years. These efforts exemplify how communities can unite to address pressing issues like hunger. Through thoughtful partnerships and active participation, the potential to create meaningful change becomes tangible, fostering hope and resilience among those affected.
