A fitness studio from New York City is making its way to South Carolina. Bout Boxing has secured a retail space within Central Island Square, part of a large master-planned community in Daniel Island. The new location will open this spring, adding to the vibrant mix of businesses already established in the area.
In the heart of Daniel Island, nestled within a sprawling 4,000-acre planned community, lies Central Island Square—a hub for shopping and dining experiences. This spring, Bout Boxing is set to unveil its latest fitness destination at 50 Central Island St., approximately eight miles from Charleston International Airport. The leasing process was facilitated by Melissa Sweeney from Continental Realty Corp. and Lindsey Halter from Carolina Retail Experts, who represented the property owner.
The entrepreneurial spirit behind Bout Boxing shines through as Alex Kucich and Nell Kucich, operators of two successful studios in New York City, collaborate with Marc Nuccitelli to bring their vision to Charleston. Their arrival enriches the eclectic tenant lineup at Central Island Square, which includes popular spots such as Buck’s Deli, Par Paradise, Gloss, iCRYO, Tacos & Tequilas Mexican Grill, New York Butcher Shoppe, and a pet boutique.
This development highlights the growing appeal of Daniel Island as a prime location for both residential living and commercial ventures.
As someone observing this expansion, it’s clear that Bout Boxing’s move represents not only an opportunity for growth but also a testament to the increasing connectivity between urban centers like New York City and emerging markets like Charleston. For residents of Daniel Island, this addition means greater access to high-quality fitness options right in their neighborhood, fostering healthier lifestyles while boosting local commerce.
