Carolina Beach Music Festival Celebrates Eight Decades of Melody
2025-05-29

An annual celebration of music and culture, the Carolina Beach Music Festival, is set to return for its 39th edition. Organized by the Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce, this iconic event traces its roots back eight decades, proudly claiming the title of the longest-running beach music festival on North Carolina's coast. The festival honors the Seabreeze community, a historic hub renowned as the birthplace of "beach music" in the 1940s. Over two days, attendees will enjoy performances spanning classic sounds and reggae beats, making it an unforgettable experience for all ages.

This year’s festival takes place on the vibrant Carolina Beach Boardwalk over the weekend of June 7 and 8. On Saturday, guests can immerse themselves in timeless tunes from legendary artists like The Tams, Band of Oz, and Jim Quick & The Coastline. Sunday shifts gears with a lively lineup featuring national pop-reggae acts such as Tropidelic, Ballyhoo!, Dales, and the ZDubs. Gates open at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday, allowing ample time for visitors to enjoy both the music and the scenic surroundings. Personal tent spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, offering fans a chance to enhance their festival experience.

In addition to live performances, the festival provides various ticket options catering to different preferences. Single-day tickets cost $38 each, while a two-day combo pass is priced at $62, inclusive of booking fees. Children ten years old and younger attend free of charge. It’s important to note that tickets are non-refundable and valid solely for the day purchased. Attendees are encouraged to secure their spots early via online platforms.

Parking arrangements have also been made convenient for festival-goers. Hourly rates start at $6, with premium lots closer to the action costing $7 per hour or $25 for an entire day. Public parking areas surround the boardwalk, ensuring easy access for everyone attending this musical extravaganza. However, no special parking accommodations are provided specifically for the event.

As the Carolina Beach Music Festival continues to thrive, it not only showcases incredible talent but also preserves a rich cultural heritage. This year promises a harmonious blend of nostalgia and innovation, inviting participants to revel in the joyous spirit of beach music. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to the scene, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at this remarkable gathering.
