2025-01-22

In an innovative move to boost the local economy and provide a unique living experience, North Branch Construction has embarked on a new mixed-use development project in Londonderry, New Hampshire. This ambitious venture, named The Village on Technology Hill, aims to integrate industrial, residential, commercial, and community spaces into a sustainable and well-planned environment. With three distinct zones catering to various needs, this project promises to revolutionize the region's landscape while supporting economic growth and fostering a strong sense of community.

A Comprehensive Look at The Village on Technology Hill

In the picturesque setting of Londonderry, the groundbreaking development of The Village on Technology Hill is set to transform the area. Located in the eastern sector, the industrial zone will house several key facilities, including a 160,000-square-foot building for Envision Technology, a 20,000-square-foot structure for OnPoint Systems, and a 5,000-square-foot office space for the Solinsky Family Office and Foundation. An additional 60,000-square-foot custom-built industrial building and a pad-ready site for future expansion further enhance the area’s potential.

To the west, nestled among natural landscapes, lies the residential zone, featuring 440 apartments across nine buildings. These residences will be arranged around a vibrant village green, complete with recreational amenities such as a playground, dog park, picnic areas, and a walking/jogging trail through the wooded northwest section. All structures within this development will incorporate photovoltaic solar panels, emphasizing the commitment to sustainability.

The northern entrance from Akira Way leads to a retail store offering everyday essentials, alongside a childcare center and a covered bus stop, ensuring easy access to public transportation. A beautifully designed bridge connects the residential area to the entrance, facilitating pedestrian-friendly access throughout the community.

Bruce Blazon, General Manager and Principal of North Branch Construction, expressed pride in being part of this forward-thinking project. "The Village on Technology Hill will not only support local businesses and provide much-needed housing but also foster a strong sense of community with its thoughtful design and wide range of amenities," he remarked.

Stone River Architects provided the architectural design, while TFMoran, Inc. contributed civil and structural engineering services.

From a reader's perspective, The Village on Technology Hill exemplifies how thoughtful planning and sustainable practices can create a harmonious balance between living, working, and community spaces. This project sets a commendable example for other regions looking to develop integrated, environmentally conscious communities that cater to diverse needs. It highlights the importance of foresight and collaboration in shaping the future of urban and suburban development.
