A concerning incident occurred in Warwick, Rhode Island, involving a collision between a minibike and a car. The accident took place on Tuesday evening, specifically at 9:50 p.m., near the intersection of Post Road and Walmart's truck route entrance. This event has raised significant safety concerns for both motorists and young riders in the area. Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, which resulted in serious injuries to one of the juveniles involved.

The Warwick Police Department reported that the driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old man, was unharmed during the incident. However, the juvenile operating the minibike sustained severe injuries and was promptly transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital for medical attention. According to preliminary findings from the police accident reconstruction team, the car was traveling northbound on Post Road when it encountered three minors riding minibikes against the direction of the one-way entrance leading to Walmart.

The sequence of events unfolded as the juveniles turned left directly in front of the approaching vehicle, causing the car to collide with one of the minibikes. The impact ejected the rider into the southbound lane. Investigators concluded that excessive speed was not a contributing factor to the accident. As of now, no charges are being filed against the driver of the car.
