A fresh concept in recreational entertainment is set to debut in Brookfield, centered around golf simulation technology, leisure activities, and community engagement. The proposed venue, named The Sand Trap, will be located at 17780 W. Bluemound Road and will feature multiple simulator bays, a lounge space, gaming options like darts and pool, and a retail section dedicated to golf equipment. In addition to offering public access hours, the establishment plans to provide professional coaching, youth development programs, and organized leagues. The initial phase of the project will span over 4,500 square feet, with plans to expand further after opening.
Slated for completion by late or early winter this year, the facility aims to operate as a multifaceted hub catering to individuals and groups of all ages. Its operating schedule reflects this versatility—open from noon to 10 PM on weekdays, extending to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and starting earlier on Sundays at 10 AM. Designed to serve both casual players and dedicated golf enthusiasts, the venue also plans to accommodate special events, including themed nights and local tournaments.
The second stage of development involves a significant expansion that would double its current footprint. This enhancement will introduce more golf simulators and an indoor turf area styled to resemble an outdoor environment. Features such as cornhole lanes, picnic-style seating, and a compact putting course are also part of the design. This added space will support larger gatherings, making it ideal for competitive events, family outings, and interactive nightlife experiences.
Before moving forward, the proposal must undergo review by the Town of Brookfield’s Plan Commission, which will deliberate on the project during its upcoming meeting. If approved, the venue has the potential to become a popular destination for recreation, socializing, and sports training, blending modern technology with traditional pastimes in a welcoming atmosphere.
