The Neenah-based design, build, and construction firm made a big announcement on Wednesday. Tim Kippenhan has been promoted to president and chief operating officer, succeeding David G. Voss, Jr. Kippenhan joined the company in 1993 and has since climbed the ranks, becoming a co-owner in 2003. He has been at the forefront of major projects like the $1 billion Fox Cities Exhibition Center.This is a momentous occasion as the Kippenhan and Voss families have been closely intertwined with Miron for nearly 60 years. Kippenhan expressed his honor in having the opportunity to build upon Dave's incredible legacy. "The Kippenhan and Voss families have co-led Miron for nearly 60 years, and I look forward to maintaining that family collaboration now and into the future," he said.Top Leadership Roles
Completing the top leadership team are Dan Voss as the company's CEO and secretary, David Voss III as vice president and chief construction operating officer, and Dean Basten as treasurer and chief financial officer. David G. Voss, Jr. will continue to support and guide various areas of the business as part of a multi-year succession plan. Miron Construction started as a small mom-and-pop shop and has rapidly grown over the years. It is recognized as a national leader in construction, specializing in sectors such as health care, pulp and paper, manufacturing, education, and renewable energy. Headquartered in Neenah, it has regional offices across the Midwest and employs around 1,700 employees.The company traces its roots back to 1918 when it began as a masonry shop with Patrick Miron as Voss Jr.'s maternal grandfather and Roland Kippenhan, one of the original five stockholders and Tim Kippenhan's grandfather. Recently, the company has completed several significant projects, including the Fox Valley Technical College's expansions, improvements at Lambeau Field, and the Green Bay Packaging's Greenfield Mill construction in 2021.
