Closure Details and Construction
Starting from Monday, December 16th, the northbound lane of South Harrison Street between West Berry and West Main Streets will be closed. These elements will enhance the aesthetic and functionality of the area. Moreover, ADA ramps, improved stormwater structures, landscaping with native plants, seating, and new street lighting will be added. These features will make the trail more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.Project Timeline and Traffic Management
The $1.2 million downtown trail project is scheduled to last through October 2025. During this time, different sections of Harrison Street and other area roads may experience temporary closures. However, detours will be implemented to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and maintain access to the area. This careful planning shows the commitment to minimizing disruptions while making significant improvements. The Urban Trail is a ten-foot-wide pathway that will connect popular downtown destinations such as Electric Works, Parkview Field, and Promenade Park.Benefits and Impact
