A devastating accident occurred on Saturday night in Orange County, Florida, resulting in the loss of four lives. The incident took place shortly before 11 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of Central Florida Parkway, east of Whitley Place. Among the victims was Sammy Lahik, a senior at Windermere High School. The collision involved two vehicles: a Toyota Camry and a BMW M2. According to preliminary reports from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), both cars were traveling at excessive speeds when the BMW attempted an overtaking maneuver. As it moved back into the outside lane, the BMW's right rear side collided with the left front side of the Toyota. The impact caused both vehicles to veer off the road and crash into trees. The Toyota also struck a light pole during the incident. One of the passengers in the Toyota was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

Two other occupants—one from each vehicle—were transported to Orlando Health Dr. Phillips Hospital but later succumbed to their injuries.
