2025-02-26

The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is set to host thrilling day camps for children during the NFL Draft week, providing unique experiences that promise both fun and education. For young animal lovers, the Creature Camp offers an engaging program where students can explore the wonders of wildlife. Scheduled on April 24 and 25, this camp invites children from grades 1 through 4 to participate in a day filled with interactive activities. Participants will enjoy a full day of learning and discovery, running from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. The zoo ensures attendees are well taken care of by providing morning and afternoon snacks. Parents are reminded to send their children with a packed lunch, water bottle, and attire suitable for indoor and outdoor activities.

For those seeking a more adventurous experience, the Adventure Park presents the Zip Camp, a half-day event on April 25. This special program caters to children aged 6 and above, offering them the chance to zip line and engage in exciting outdoor activities. Unlike regular park requirements, there are no height or weight restrictions for this camp, making it accessible to all eager participants. Running from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Zip Camp promises a morning of exhilarating adventures. The Adventure Park will provide a snack, but parents should ensure their children bring a water bottle and wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.

These camps not only offer children a break from their regular school routine but also provide valuable learning opportunities and unforgettable experiences. By engaging in these programs, kids can develop a deeper appreciation for nature and adventure while building new skills and friendships. Such initiatives highlight the importance of extracurricular activities in fostering personal growth and creating lasting memories.
