High-fashion Italian powerhouses Ferragamo look to strike a fine balance between fantasy and reality in their new Pre-Fall 2024 campaign.
Looking to capture the fading sunsets of summer, Ferragamo come out swinging with their new Pre-Fall 2024 collection and campaign photographed by Harley Weir, with this effort particularly looking to articulate the “vocabulary Maximilian Davis has built for the house, seen through the distinctly desirable lens of summer.” Delving into the depths of Ferragamo’s rich heritage whilst keeping things very much in-tune with what’s going on right now, this collection features Raffia designs – a staple of Ferragamo’s early creations – which are translated into leather-lined woven shoppers, cut-out totes, and mules, whilst an on-trend yet signature ballerina shoe subverts its delicate associations through a proportion adjustment of an elongated toe and cutting hardware. Additional standouts include the omnipresent Ferragamo Hug bag, suited silk efforts, pyjamas sets, skirts, dresses, shirts, tank tops and more, with muted tones working alongside rare splashes of blue to intertwine that sense of summer longing with a look ahead to the fall.
Talking about Ferragamo’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection, creative director Maximilian Davis stated:
“We wanted to play with the idea of fantasy and reality and Harley is someone who can express something that is both very real and very magical. I wanted it to have an ease, but also an energy, which women can relate to. In terms of technique, combining high and low is what Ferragamo is about. It’s about looking at the wardrobe, about it feeling identifiable, and exploring the elements and signifiers we’ve developed throughout my time here, in a fresh, new way.”
