FIU Women's Golf Team Achieves Notable Success at CUSA Championships

In a remarkable performance, the women's golf team from Florida International University (FIU) secured an impressive third-place finish at the 2025 Conference USA (CUSA) Championships held in St. Augustine, Florida. This achievement marks their highest placement since 2022. The Panthers demonstrated exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament, particularly in the final round where they made a significant push to close the gap with competitors.

The FIU team started the third round trailing by eight strokes but quickly narrowed the difference, taking the lead after nine holes with a team score of -5. Although they ultimately finished in third place with a final round score of plus-10, their overall three-round total of 883 showcased their competitive spirit. Behind champion Western Kentucky and runner-up Jacksonville State, FIU athletes Hoi Ki Lau and Karissa Kilby stood out by placing seventh and eighth respectively, concluding with scores of plus-two and plus-three. Additionally, freshman Catalina Harvey performed admirably, finishing fifteenth overall.
