Automaker Ford has concluded the distribution of complimentary North American Charging System (NACS) adapters to its electric vehicle (EV) customers in the United States. This initiative, which began in 2023, aimed to provide Ford's EV owners with access to Tesla’s extensive Supercharger network. The adapters were necessary because Ford vehicles are equipped with Combined Charging System (CCS) ports. By June 30, 2024, all eligible customers had received their free adapters. Moving forward, those requiring an adapter will need to purchase the Ford Fast Charging Adapter for $200. Additionally, Ford has expanded its BlueOval Charge Network, now boasting over 180,000 chargers at more than 50,000 locations, representing a 40 percent increase since early 2024.

Ford Enhances EV Charging Infrastructure and Accessibility
