Holiday Attraction Faces Legal Consequences for Unfulfilled Promises

A holiday attraction that left its customers disappointed over a year ago is now facing legal action and must pay restitution to those affected. The Kansas Attorney General's Office, led by Kris Kobach, announced that Snowglobe LLC has been ordered to return $7,500 to Kansas consumers. This decision stems from the company's failure to honor pre-sold tickets for a holiday train ride in December 2023, followed by an inability to provide refunds.

In late 2023, Snowglobe Express, based in Lawrence, Kansas, marketed a festive train experience but ultimately canceled the event without adequately compensating ticket holders. Consequently, the Kansas Attorney General’s Office initiated legal proceedings against Snowglobe LLC under the Kansas Consumer Protection Act, with business owner Ryan Robinson also named in the lawsuit.

Assistant Attorney General Sarah Dietz emphasized the importance of holding businesses accountable for their actions. She highlighted how what was meant to be a joyful family tradition turned into frustration for numerous Kansas residents celebrating Christmas. The AG's office pursued restitution on behalf of 30 impacted customers.

For individuals who believe they are entitled to a refund, the process begins by filing a complaint with the Attorney General’s office. Through this mechanism, eligible consumers can seek recompense for their losses.
