Highlights include a speakeasy-style space on the top floor, featuring a trunk filled with Ruinart Champagne bottles, cocktail shakers, and even a small silver disco ball inside. It stands next to a glittering mosaic mirrored Campana Disco Cocoon chair from the house’s Objets Nomades collection. Other standout items include Pharrell William’s Millionaire Speedy bag, designed for his debut collection, which features 18K-gold hardware and a hand-painted monogram finish that took 65 hours to complete. On a lower floor, there is a room dedicated to the universe of women’s high-jewelry and watches by Francesca Amfitheatrof.
Activations that bring the craft to life are taking place throughout the weeks, too. For the opening weekend, Louis Vuitton designers from Paris were on-hand to create bespoke hard-sided trunks during one-on-one appointments, taking into account the individual’s exact needs and personal style, as well an artist hand-painting personalized, whimsical travel stickers. Later that week, there was a malletage expert from the atelier demonstrating the complicated technique live. Finally, a pop-up café, on the ground floor is serving cappuccinos in charming blue-and-white Louis Vuitton cups with the LV Flower artfully set in the milk foam, perfectly rounding out the experience.
