New Culinary Experience Rolls onto Campus
2025-03-31

This spring, the Binghamton University campus is welcoming an exciting new addition to its dining options with the arrival of a food truck named Yes Chef. This innovative culinary concept focuses on smash burgers and offers a versatile menu featuring various sandwiches and burgers with imaginative flavor combinations. As the third food truck on campus alongside Global Taco and Starbucks, Yes Chef aims to enhance the campus's diverse food scene by providing convenient meal choices. According to Campus Executive Chef Charlie Williams, this initiative contributes to building a vibrant and varied dining environment.

Yes Chef operates daily during lunch hours and can be found near the Library Tower along the spine. Its offerings cater to a wide range of tastes, including classic American smash burgers, plant-based Beyond Burgers, and grilled cheese sandwiches, all customizable with toppings. Additionally, the menu features weekly specials such as jalapeno popper burgers and tater tots, ensuring freshly prepared meals for every visit.

The rebranding of this food truck was inspired by feedback from students and guidance from the Student Culinary Council. This collaboration allows Yes Chef to offer not only popular dishes but also support campus events through its flexible menu. Chef Williams expressed enthusiasm about the creative opportunities this new concept provides for their chefs to experiment and innovate in their cooking.

Binghamton University Dining Services (BUDS) eagerly anticipates how this concept will inspire their culinary team. For those interested in exploring what Yes Chef has to offer, the full menu and operational hours are available on the BUDS website.

With its unique approach to dining, Yes Chef promises to bring excitement and variety to the campus community's culinary landscape, enhancing both convenience and enjoyment for all students, faculty, and visitors alike.
