A historic building in Bangor, County Down, has transformed into a vibrant hub for the arts with its latest exhibition featuring works by celebrated visual artist Joe Tilson. This initiative marks an important milestone for Seacourt Print Workshop, which recently reopened after renovations and continues to promote printmaking within the community. In the heart of Bangor, amidst the charming ambiance of Main Street, lies a meticulously restored B2 listed building that now serves as home to the Seacourt Print Workshop. Since reopening its doors last October following extensive renovations, this space has welcomed art enthusiasts eager to explore its offerings. Among these is an exhibition dedicated to Joe Tilson, renowned for his association with the dynamic 1960s British Pop Art movement. Visitors can admire both early prints and more recent pieces characterized by intricate ziggurat designs and thought-provoking consumer imagery.

The journey of Seacourt began in 1981 when it first championed the craft of printmaking in Bangor. Relocating to its present location in 2021 and subsequently acquiring the property, the workshop now accommodates 60 members across 11 studio spaces. Under the guidance of Director Emma Drury, plans are underway for upcoming events such as "All at Sea," a group show scheduled for May, and a solo exhibition by resident artist Craig Jefferson in July.
