2025-03-10

In a concerning turn of events, authorities are intensively searching for a 26-year-old man from East Windsor who went missing over the weekend. The individual, identified as Daniel Callahan, was last spotted on Saturday departing from a residence in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Early Sunday, emergency services received an urgent call regarding a person near the Connecticut River close to Walter Street. Despite an extensive search operation that lasted several hours, no one was found in the river at that time.

Later on Sunday morning, law enforcement returned to the scene and discovered evidence suggesting a potential vehicle accident near the end of Walter Street. It appeared that a car had possibly plunged into the river. Further investigation confirmed the presence of an unoccupied vehicle submerged in the river. Authorities noted that the license plate matched the missing individual, Daniel Callahan. However, it remains unclear whether Callahan was driving the vehicle when it entered the water. With the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police, the search for the driver continues.

The community rallies together in support of the ongoing efforts to locate Callahan. Described as standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds, he was last seen wearing dark gray plaid flannel, a black zip-up jacket, dark jeans, and a black knit hat. This incident highlights the importance of community vigilance and cooperation with local authorities in times of crisis. Every effort is being made to ensure Callahan's safe return, emphasizing the collective responsibility we all share in looking out for one another.
