From a hardware store to various other businesses, it had been vacant for over two decades until Dennis Komyathy stepped in. Recognizing the potential, he approached local authorities to convert the space into a food pantry. After obtaining approval, Komyathy invested considerable effort into bringing the building up to code and filling it with essential supplies. His dedication has transformed this once-forgotten spot into a vital resource for the community.

This historic building has witnessed numerous changes since its inception. It served as a hub for different enterprises before falling into disuse. However, Komyathy saw beyond its dilapidated state. With unwavering determination, he sought permission from township officials to repurpose the site. Once granted, he embarked on a mission to renovate the structure and equip it with necessary amenities. Today, the building stands as a symbol of hope and generosity, stocked with food donations from various sources including the Greater Lansing Food Bank, Meijer, and the Onondaga Community Church.
