In late April, the renowned ImageCentral inaugurated its Annual Spring Exhibition. This event has become a staple in the Bay Area art scene since 1987, featuring over 25 photographers ranging from emerging talents to seasoned professionals. Showcasing an array of contemporary photographic styles, the exhibition includes diverse genres such as landscapes, portraits, architecture, and nature photography. The exhibition is free and will run until June 6, with an opening reception on April 26 where attendees can vote for their favorite piece in the People’s Choice competition.

A Celebration of Artistic Vision at ImageCentral Gallery

Nestled in Hayward at 1099 E St., ImageCentral unveiled its eagerly awaited Annual Spring Exhibition on April 21. For over three decades, this seasonal showcase has united both film and digital photographers whose works span a broad spectrum of modern photographic techniques. Frederick Watkins, the director of ImageCentral, praised the collection as a stunning representation of various forms of visual storytelling.

The exhibition remains open to the public through June 6, offering visitors an opportunity to explore a rich tapestry of artistic expression. A special highlight of the event is the opening reception held on Saturday, April 26, between 2 pm and 5 pm. During this gathering, guests are invited to cast their votes for the People’s Choice award, adding an interactive element to the experience.

ImageCentral features two gallery spaces, each with distinct hours. The Lower Gallery welcomes visitors on Monday evenings from 5 pm to 9 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 am to 2 pm, and by appointment. Meanwhile, the Upper Gallery operates from Mondays to Fridays, 11 am to 4 pm. Beyond exhibitions, ImageCentral also offers classes, workshops, memberships, and events in collaboration with the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (H.A.R.D.).
