2025-03-15

A wave of culinary excitement is set to sweep across the towns, cities, and countryside of the West Midlands as the Digbeth Dining Club gears up for its 2025 tour. The eagerly awaited series of street food events will feature over 40 gatherings between April and September, bringing together an array of local vendors, music, and family-friendly activities. With new venues added this year, including Barton Marina and Crown Meadow, the tour aims to showcase the region's dynamic food scene while supporting emerging talent in the culinary world.

As the weather begins to warm, organizers are thrilled to announce a vibrant calendar of pop-up events designed to bring communities together through shared experiences of great food and lively atmospheres. Leading the charge is Bobby Barnes, director of the Digbeth Dining Club, who expressed his enthusiasm about returning to the road with a renewed vigor. The tour will kick off at The Waterfront in Brierley Hill on April 11, followed by the Codsall Dining Club on Easter Monday. These gatherings promise not only delicious cuisine but also entertainment that caters to all ages, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

The itinerary includes some of the region's most picturesque locations such as Warwick Castle, Compton Verney, and Bantock Park. New sites have been carefully selected to enhance the experience, offering attendees stunning backdrops against which they can savor mouthwatering dishes from more than 100 street food traders. Among these vendors are fan favorites like Original Patty Men and Hawker Dan, alongside newcomers eager to make their mark. Music performances, cocktail caravans, and fizzy drink bars further enrich the festive ambiance.

Barnes highlighted the growth of the tour since its inception, noting how it has provided a vital platform for budding entrepreneurs in the food industry. Each year, tens of thousands flock to these events, creating a loyal following among food enthusiasts. With dates confirmed until August—and more announcements expected—there is ample opportunity for residents and visitors alike to partake in this gastronomic adventure.

This summer's tour promises to be a highlight of the regional calendar, celebrating the diverse flavors and talents within the West Midlands. As the season progresses, each event will serve as a testament to the community spirit fostered through shared meals and joyful gatherings, leaving lasting memories for all who attend.
