Bernard Arnault has welcomed two more of his children onto the LVMH board of directors.
Arnault, who is the world’s richest man and the chairman of LVMH, already had two children from his first marriage on the conglomerate’s board, Delphine, 49, and Antoine, 46.
Joining their older siblings are his two sons, both of whom already hold executive positions at LVMH-owned companies. 29-year-old Frédéric is the CEO of Tag Heuer, while 31-year-old Alexandre serves as the executive vice president of Tiffany.
Frédéric and Alexandre both received a vote of more than 93% at the latest shareholder meeting and were ushered into the board – an unsurprising decision given the Arnault family holds 64.3% of the voting power.
“I’ve got the majority of votes, so…,” Bernard said during the meeting.
With four of the five Arnault heirs now on the board, 26-year-old Jean, who is the director of watches at Louis Vuitton, is the last child who has yet to join.
