Their efforts yielded an impressive collection of both non-perishable goods and monetary contributions exceeding $1,000, significantly aiding the local food pantry's operations.

In a recent initiative, volunteers from the Belpre Area Veterans gathered donations over a four-hour span at a strategic location in the Wash Rite Unlimited Express parking lot. The operation commenced with 17 plastic totes intended to store collected items but quickly expanded as the outpouring of generosity exceeded expectations. In addition to physical goods, numerous individuals stopped by to contribute cash, demonstrating widespread community solidarity.

This spring endeavor marks a new tradition for the veterans group, which plans to maintain its annual autumn campaign while making the spring drive a recurring feature. According to Eric Clark, president of the Belpre Area Veterans, these drives reflect the community's deep-rooted compassion and willingness to assist those facing hardship.
