WATERLOO — A Waterloo man has been arrested for allegedly stealing guns and high-end jewelry from a Des Moines home.
Prince Tarkpor Gailah, 25, of 224 Palmer St., formerly of Baltimore, was arrested Thursday on a Polk County warrant for first-degree theft and third-degree burglary. He was transferred to Des Moines. Bond was set at $15,000.
Authorities allege Gailah and another person removed firearms and a safe with jewelry from a house on East 30th Street in Des Moines on the afternoon of March 28.
The weapons included an AK-47 rifle with a folding stock, a Draco AK-47 pistol and a KelTec KS7 shotgun. The jewelry was valued at $10,000.
The crime was captured on video, records state.
