The announcement was made by Erin Westerman, co-president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, revealing that the film is scheduled for release on November 20, 2026. This latest installment revisits Panem two decades before the events of the original "Hunger Games," focusing on the Fiftieth Hunger Games. The casting process involved an extensive global search, seeking performers who could authentically bring these iconic roles to life.
