Annual Wayne Car Show Marks Its 11th Year with Excitement
2025-03-31

An eagerly awaited automotive spectacle is set to return in Radnor, drawing enthusiasts and families alike. The Wheels of Wayne car show, now celebrating its 11th edition, transforms the streets into a vibrant showcase of antique, contemporary, classic, and customized vehicles. This community event not only highlights impressive automobiles but also fosters local engagement through various activities, entertainment, and culinary delights. With thoroughfare closures planned for the day, attendees can immerse themselves fully in this family-friendly atmosphere, which has become a cherished spring tradition.

As part of the Radnor Township Park and Recreation Department’s initiatives, alongside collaboration with the Wayne Business Association, the Wheels of Wayne event continues to grow in popularity. Last year saw an attendance of over 3,000 visitors enjoying displays that ranged from vintage motorcycles to modern trucks. This year's edition, scheduled for Sunday, April 27th, promises even more excitement with attractions like pulled pork and pizza contests, live music, and interactive business booths.

For optimal enjoyment, certain road adjustments will be made on the event day. North Wayne Avenue and West Avenue will be temporarily closed from early morning until evening, specifically between Lancaster Avenue and West Avenue. Limited access portions will also affect sections of West Avenue throughout the day. Vehicles parked within these restricted zones risk being towed to ensure smooth operations during the festivities.

Molly Gallagher, serving as Radnor Township's public information officer, expressed her anticipation for another successful gathering. In promotional materials released ahead of the event, she highlighted the significance of bringing together such a diverse crowd to celebrate shared interests in motoring culture. Should inclement weather occur, organizers have arranged a backup plan extending into early May.

Attendees are encouraged to explore further details via Radnor Township’s official digital platforms where updates and additional resources await. This annual happening serves as both a tribute to automotive history and a testament to community spirit, promising memorable experiences for all who participate.
