Annual Plano ISD AP Art Exhibition Honors Student Talent

In the recently concluded Plano Independent School District (ISD) Advanced Placement Art Exhibition, a number of students were celebrated for their artistic achievements. Recognitions came from esteemed entities such as the ArtCentre of Plano, Plano ISD itself, and corporate sponsor Texas Health Plano. The exhibition was praised for its remarkable pieces that could easily grace any high-quality art collection. Gratitude was extended to Texas Health Plano for its generous support, which played a pivotal role in the event's success.

Artistic Achievements Highlighted at the ArtCentre of Plano

During a vibrant autumn season, an awards ceremony took place at the ArtCentre of Plano, where winners were honored with monetary prizes presented by key figures including Suzy Jones, Executive Director of the ArtCentre, Colin McGrane, Coordinator of K-12 Visual Arts for Plano ISD, and Mary Jo Dean, Director of Community Relations at Texas Health Plano. This prestigious event showcased the exceptional talents of students from various Plano high schools. Notable awardees included Catherine Wang, Jadyn Walder, and Krishnan Variyam from Plano Sr. High School; AJ Reichenstein, Ava Li, and Mason Fikes from Plano West Sr. High School; and Vedanshi Desai, Evette Manfredi, and Arturo Mediola Quezada from Plano East Sr. High School. Among these talented individuals, Helena (CJ) Johnston stood out as the Best Overall in Two-Dimensional Art, while Sunny Weinstein excelled as the Best Overall in Three-Dimensional Art.
