BBR Music Group Sets the Stage for Future Success at ACM Brunch
2025-05-09

In a vibrant celebration of music and talent, BMG North America recently hosted its annual ACM kick-off brunch at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, Texas. The event not only commemorated past achievements but also unveiled exciting prospects for BBR Music Group. With highlights including performances from rising stars such as Drew Baldridge, Lanie Gardner, and Frank Ray, alongside announcements about upcoming projects, the gathering underscored the label's commitment to fostering new talent and expanding its musical influence.

This year’s brunch took place on May 8, where Jon Loba, president of recorded music at BMG North America, set the tone by emphasizing growth and innovation. Celebrating milestones like Blake Shelton’s latest No. 1 country radio single "Texas" and other collaborative successes, the focus quickly shifted towards what lies ahead. In addition to honoring recent accomplishments, the event featured brief introductions of artists poised to make waves in the industry, reflecting the label’s dedication to nurturing diverse voices.

The program began with Dustin Lynch, described as a cornerstone artist within the label, whose forthcoming releases promise to further solidify his impact. Following this introduction, Drew Baldridge stepped onto the stage, captivating the audience with both an established hit and a fresh composition titled "Rebel." His excitement was palpable as he announced plans for acquiring his first tour bus after years spent traveling in cramped vans. Next up was Alexandra Kay, currently touring across Europe following her collaboration with Jelly Roll last year, showcasing her global reach.

Colin Stough followed shortly afterward, sharing insights into his creative journey while debuting "White Trash," a deeply personal piece inspired by complex familial dynamics. Then came Lanie Gardner, who performed two tracks before receiving an unforgettable invitation—to appear on the Grand Ole Opry later that year. Her emotional response resonated throughout the room, highlighting the transformative power of these opportunities. Concluding the lineup was John Morgan, who introduced listeners to songs co-written with notable figures like Tyler Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line, underscoring collaborative efforts within the genre.

Finally, Frank Ray closed out the event with an electrifying performance featuring his Latin-infused track "Miami in Tennessee." As attendees enjoyed his dynamic energy, it became evident how each performer contributed uniquely to the evolving landscape of contemporary country music under BBR Music Group’s guidance.

Beyond individual performances, the brunch served as a testament to the collective vision shared among all participants. By blending tradition with innovation, BBR Music Group continues paving the way for emerging talents while maintaining strong connections with long-standing collaborators. This approach ensures not only sustained success but also enriches the broader musical community through meaningful contributions and inspiring partnerships.
