2025-05-07

An annual cultural extravaganza in Fernley, Nevada, is set to bring the community together through art, music, and entertainment. Starting on Friday, May 9, this eight-day event will showcase a variety of activities aimed at fostering creativity and inclusivity. Organized by Fernley ACES, the festival offers a diverse range of programs, from specialized classes for different age groups to lively open mic nights and live performances. The highlight of the week will be the grand kickoff party for Music, Murals, and Margaritas on May 16, followed by the renowned M³ festival later in the week. These events promise to transform Fernley into a hub of artistic expression and community spirit.

As part of the festivities, Fernley ACES has meticulously planned a series of engaging activities spanning over eight days. Among these are exclusive classes designed specifically for teenagers and senior citizens, providing them with unique opportunities to explore their creative sides. Additionally, the schedule includes interactive open mic nights where budding artists can share their talents with an appreciative audience. Live music sessions will further enliven the atmosphere, creating a festive mood throughout the town.

On May 16, the much-anticipated kickoff party for Music, Murals, and Margaritas will take place in McHopper’s parking lot. This vibrant gathering will feature performances by The Teacher Band, along with various food trucks offering delicious treats. Attendees can also enjoy drinks from the ACES bar while participating in kid-friendly activities or bidding on items at the silent auction. This event serves as both a celebration and a precursor to the larger M³ festival scheduled for the following days.

The M³ festival itself, now in its fourth year, continues to grow in popularity. Center Street in Fernley will be closed off to accommodate two stages featuring live music and captivating performances by acts such as Biggest Little Circus and Controlled Burn. Over 50 vendors will line the streets, presenting handmade crafts and local produce. Families can enjoy a designated kids zone complete with thrilling attractions like rock climbing walls and Vince House. Furthermore, attendees can participate in art classes and collaborative community art projects, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

With its rich lineup of events, Fernley's Art Week aims to unite the Northern Nevada community through shared experiences of art and culture. As residents and visitors alike gather to celebrate creativity and diversity, this festival not only showcases Fernley's vibrant arts scene but also strengthens bonds within the community. It invites all to join in celebrating the town's unique identity and cultural heritage.
