The idea for this festival originated over the Christmas break when Darius Swift, a math and science teacher, recognized the limited opportunities many students have to explore other cultures. This year, Midway Elementary introduced its inaugural Food and Culture Festival, offering students a chance to journey through different nations without leaving campus.
