This development stems from Google's initial launch of Gemini Live in April, which was restricted to newer devices such as the Pixel 9 lineup and Galaxy S25 series. At that time, older Pixel models and other Android phones needed a Gemini Advanced subscription to access these features. However, Google has now removed this limitation for Pixel users, broadening the accessibility of the technology.

Gemini Live operates within the Gemini app, enabling users to share their camera view or screen in real-time. By selecting the "Share screen with Live" option in the Gemini assistant overlay, individuals can activate screen recording and sharing functionalities. Once engaged, users may pose questions to Gemini about whatever is currently displayed on their screen or captured by their camera, receiving accurate responses from the AI assistant.

This functionality aligns with Project Astra, Google's experimental next-generation AI assistant designed to interact dynamically with its environment.
