Peab, a renowned Nordic construction and civil engineering company, is set to make significant strides in Trelleborg, Sweden. The project, which involves building rental apartments, is expected to be completed by February 2027. With a contract worth Skr101m ($9.23m), Peab is entrusted with this important task.

Customer and Location Details

The customer for this project is Sjöormen, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alsingevallen, a local real estate company. The development will enhance the residential infrastructure south-east of Stortorget on the Nygatan side in Trelleborg, addressing the growing demand for housing in the area.

Project Specifications

The construction includes two tower blocks with basements. One block has six storeys, while the other has ten. The top two floors of these towers are designated for venues, adding to the local community's amenities. In total, 34 rental apartments will be built, providing much-needed housing.Alsingevallen owner Bengt Nilsson expressed his excitement, stating, "We're happy and proud that Stadsparkshusen is finally getting started and we have signed leases for most of the premises. There will be a restaurant on the first floor and a dental clinic on the second."

Project Timeline and Contract Details

Structured as a turnkey contract, construction is set to commence in January 2025 and is expected to be completed by February 2027. The project will be registered by Peab in the fourth quarter of 2024.
