The Clinton River Trail in Rochester has faced a setback due to a washout, resulting in its closure west of the Macomb Orchard Trail and Dequindre Road. Travelers are advised to follow the posted detour route. In Shelby Twp. along Dequindre Road, the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) is actively working on the second phase of infrastructure improvements. Dequindre Road is expected to open on October 25, while the section between 23 Mile Road and 24 Mile Road will close starting October 28 and remain closed through the fall of 2025. This closure also affects the Clinton River Trail and Macomb Orchard Trail between Letica Drive and 24 Mile Road. Drivers are encouraged to take alternative routes and adhere to the detours. The project involves the installation of a new 96-inch water transmission main and is part of the GLWA's ongoing work, with a duration through December 31, 2025.In Fraser, Garfield Road between 14 Mile Road and 15 Mile Road has completed its first phase and is now fully open to traffic. The replacement of the Harrington Drain is scheduled to take place from December 2024 to January 2025, followed by road reconstruction from March to August 2025. This project aims to enhance the road infrastructure and is expected to be completed by August 2025.In Sterling Heights and Warren along Mound Road, the road is open to traffic, but there will be intermittent lane closures for landscaping and utility work. The final landscaping and restoration work is anticipated to be completed in 2024.In Harrison Township on North Blom Drive and Cloverleaf Street, the road will remain open to ensure residents' access. The project involves road reconstruction as part of the MCDR's subdivision reconstruction program and is expected to be completed by December.In Oakland County, the eastbound I-696 Service Drive will be closed from John R. Road to Couzens Road until mid-December. In Oakland County, the northbound Joslyn Road ramp to northbound I-75 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday. In Wayne County, the southbound I-75 will have two lanes open from M-8 to I-94 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Additionally, the southbound I-75 ramps to Clark Road and from Clark Road to southbound I-75 will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and the southbound I-75 ramp to Springwells will be closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.In Wayne County, the westbound I-94 ramps to eastbound and westbound I-96 will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday. In Oakland County, the southbound M-1 will have two lanes open at Hickory Grove from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Monday. In Wayne County, the northbound and southbound M-1 will have two lanes open from Tennyson Avenue to Boston Boulevard until late December, except during special events. In Oakland County, the northbound and southbound M-15 will be closed from Waldon Road to Miller Road from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. In Oakland and Wayne counties, the westbound M-102 will have two lanes open from Southfield Road to Lahser Road until June 2025. In Oakland County, the northbound and southbound Main Street will be closed from 2nd Street to University Drive from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.These closures and construction activities are part of the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain the local transportation infrastructure.
