Last year's standout hitter, Keira Brogan, suffered an ACL injury during basketball season, followed by Addison Wardle encountering a similar setback during indoor softball. These losses have left the team without their entire middle infield and first baseman from the previous campaign.

Coach DeRose acknowledges the difficulty of crafting a cohesive lineup under such circumstances. "We're experimenting with different positions and lineups," he explained. "It’s going to be a process of trial and error, especially early in the season." Senior pitcher Jayli Wilt, who led the team with a stellar pitching record and batting average last year, is among the key returners.
