2025-03-04
Recently, a group of friends and I embarked on an exquisite brunch adventure at Palo Steakhouse aboard the Disney Treasure. This adults-only dining experience offered more than just delicious food; it provided a serene ambiance, exceptional service, and breathtaking ocean views. The cost? A mere $50 per person for an all-you-can-enjoy meal. Here's what made this brunch truly memorable.

Indulge in Elegance and Flavor: Discover Why This Brunch Is a Must-Try

A Whimsical "Beauty and the Beast" Themed Oasis

Palo Steakhouse is nestled on deck 12 of the Disney Treasure, offering a tranquil retreat for adults. The restaurant’s design is inspired by “Beauty and the Beast,” with enchanting artwork and decor that transport guests into a fairytale setting. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere felt both sophisticated and whimsical. The absence of children added to the serene environment, making it perfect for a relaxing meal. The restaurant’s location in an adults-only area ensures a peaceful dining experience. We were seated promptly, greeted by our server who guided us to a table with stunning ocean views. The combination of elegant decor and the soothing sound of waves created an unforgettable backdrop for our brunch.

An Abundance of Culinary Delights

For $50 per person, guests can indulge in a wide array of dishes from various categories, including antipasti, egg dishes, waffles, soups, pizza, and entrées. Each guest also receives one complimentary alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage. Our server encouraged us to explore the menu, which we did eagerly, ordering almost everything except pizza. We began with non-alcoholic Bellinis, pre-made and bottled with a delightful peach flavor. Despite not containing alcohol, these drinks were refreshing and perfectly complemented the meal. To stay hydrated, we also opted for a $16 bottle of sparkling water, which was shared among us. Its effervescent bubbles and subtle minerality made it a refreshing choice.

Bread Service: A Highlight of the Meal

The bread service alone was worth the visit. Our table was presented with a selection of seasoned flatbreads, crispy crackers, garlicky naan, and fresh baguettes. A standout was the focaccia-style bread infused with onion and blue cheese, while warm baguettes added a comforting touch. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar were served separately for dipping, ensuring each bite was as flavorful as the last.

Antipasti Choices: Meat and Seafood Delights

Each person could choose between two antipasti options: charcuterie or seafood. Three of us selected the meat antipasti, featuring prosciutto, bresaola, coppa, salami, olives, roasted garlic, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and peppers. The cured meats were fresh and paired beautifully with the salty accompaniments. One friend chose the seafood antipasti, which included marinated jumbo shrimp, crab claw, ahi tuna, mussels, and cured salmon. Although I’m not a seafood enthusiast, my friend thoroughly enjoyed her selection.

Savory Soups and Hearty Entrées

One friend ordered the tomato and basil soup, which had a tangy, creamy texture reminiscent of a gourmet twist on a classic dish. While I didn’t order it myself, a taste revealed its rich flavors. For the entrées, I opted for the chicken Parmesan, a dish I’ve tried before at Palo. It featured breaded chicken topped with San Marzano tomato sauce and mozzarella, served over creamy risotto. The risotto was the highlight, offering a lighter alternative to traditional pasta. Another friend chose the eggplant Parmesan, a decadent roll filled with prosciutto, ricotta, mozzarella, and sauce. The presentation was impressive, and she found it equally satisfying.A third friend went for the grilled sirloin steak, cooked to medium-rare perfection and topped with thyme-herb butter. The steak was tender and flavorful, accompanied by green beans and roasted potatoes. Lastly, one friend ordered the roasted red snapper filet. While she enjoyed the fish, the sides—particularly the saffron fondant-covered potato—left something to be desired.

Sweet Endings: Breakfast for Dessert

Our server suggested saving the waffles and pancakes for last, a recommendation we followed. The apple-cinnamon Mickey-shaped waffles were a delightful way to end the meal. Two others ordered strawberry waffles, while another friend chose blueberry pancakes. Each dessert was topped with syrup and powdered sugar, creating a sweet and satisfying finish.

Value and Memories Beyond Price

Overall, the $220 spent on brunch at Palo Steakhouse was well worth it. The combination of excellent food, serene ambiance, and beautiful ocean views made for an unforgettable experience. Sharing this meal with friends in such a unique setting created lasting memories that we’ll cherish forever.
