Innovations in the Quick Settings panel are anticipated to redefine user convenience. Resizable tiles offer more flexibility, allowing users to customize their panels according to personal preferences. Instant access to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions simplifies daily device management. Moreover, the improved tile editor empowers users to streamline their settings with one-touch shortcuts for adding or removing tiles. These enhancements were first identified late last year by Android Authority, though they have not yet been fully integrated into recent beta releases.

During The Android Show, Google demonstrated a video clip highlighting several key aspects of the updated Quick Settings panel. Notable features included dynamic toggle animations, a refined brightness slider, and a visually appealing blurred background effect for both notifications and Quick Settings. Although direct demonstrations of the one-click connectivity options were absent from the clip, the refreshed toggle designs align with previews seen in previous months.

The rollout of the new Material 3 Expressive theme and associated UI improvements is scheduled for later this year alongside Android 16. Initially targeting Pixel devices, these updates will subsequently extend to other smartphone manufacturers.
