Vienna's Grand Celebration: A Weekend of Fun and Entertainment
2025-06-23

This year, the Vienna Freedom Festival is set to take place in a single location, Spencer’s Landing, over two days. Previously spanning two weekends in 2024, this festival will now consolidate its vibrant activities into one dynamic weekend. Featuring live music, thrilling rides, crafts, food vendors, and more, the event promises an unforgettable experience for all attendees. Notable performances include Home Free, the acclaimed acappella group, and Chapel Hart, who gained fame through "America’s Got Talent." The festival will conclude with a dazzling drone light show on Saturday night.

The festival aims to bring the community together under the auspices of Friends of Vienna, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing local beauty and fostering civic pride. Highlights of the schedule include a rodeo, tethered hot air balloon rides, and a car and motorcycle show. With free general admission and optional VIP tickets, the event caters to a wide audience, offering something for everyone.

Unified Location and Exciting Performances

Spencer’s Landing will serve as the sole venue for this year's Vienna Freedom Festival, marking a shift from previous years when events were spread across multiple locations. This consolidation ensures that visitors can enjoy a full range of attractions without needing to travel between sites. Among the highlights are the return of Home Free, whose captivating a cappella sounds have enthralled audiences globally, and Chapel Hart, known for their electrifying stage presence and memorable performances. These acts promise to elevate the festival atmosphere significantly.

Home Free, celebrated winners of NBC’s “The Sing-Off,” will perform at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Their repertoire includes collaborations with renowned artists such as Kenny Rogers and Don McLean. Preceding them will be Chapel Hart, taking the stage at 6:30 p.m., bringing their unique blend of country charm and pop energy. Both performances are expected to draw large crowds eager to witness these talented groups live. Additionally, the festival offers various entertainment options throughout the day, including carnival rides starting at noon on Friday and continuing Saturday, craft vendors showcasing local talent, and food trucks providing delicious treats. General admission remains free, although VIP tickets grant access to exclusive areas and experiences.

Community Engagement and Event Schedule

Friends of Vienna plays a pivotal role in organizing the festival, aiming to strengthen community bonds and promote environmental stewardship. By supporting projects like tree planting and beautification initiatives, they enhance the town's aesthetic appeal while engaging residents in meaningful activities. This year's schedule reflects careful planning to cater to diverse interests, ensuring there's something for everyone. Activities commence Friday at noon with carnival rides, followed by welcoming remarks and a parachute team demonstration later in the evening.

Saturday brings even more excitement, beginning with Slack Riders at 9 a.m. and featuring a car and motorcycle show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food and craft vendors open their stalls at 11 a.m., providing ample opportunities for shopping and dining. Carnival rides start again at noon, leading up to the SEBRA Rodeo between 1 and 3 p.m. Hot air balloon rides offer breathtaking views during the afternoon, culminating in musical performances by Chapel Hart and Home Free in the evening. Finally, the grand finale—a spectacular drone light show—promises to leave spectators awestruck as it lights up the night sky at 10:15 p.m. Each activity has been thoughtfully selected to create a well-rounded, enjoyable experience for all ages.
