New Culinary Experiences and Innovations Await Fans at American Family Field
2025-03-31

As the Milwaukee Brewers gear up for their home opener in 2025, fans are set to enjoy an array of new food options and technological advancements. The team has introduced "The Alley," a revamped section offering dishes from local food trucks. Alongside these culinary delights, the ballpark is implementing facial authentication technology to streamline entry, expanding its merchandise store, and relocating rideshare pickup zones. Furthermore, select games will be broadcast over-the-air, providing broader access to fans unable to attend in person.

A highlight of this season's enhancements is "The Alley," located on the loge level concourse in left field. This area features a selection of Milwaukee-area food truck vendors serving unique items such as birria tacos, calzones, gelato, and more. According to Rick Schlesinger, president of business operations for the Brewers, these changes aim to enrich the fan experience by incorporating local flavors into the ballpark environment.

Beyond the introduction of "The Alley," the 3rd Street Market Hall Annex now includes Creta Mediterranean Grill, adding another layer of diversity to the food offerings. Traditional stands have also been updated with new menu items like specialty hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and double gouda cheeseburgers. Kevin Jezewski, Delaware North’s general manager at American Family Field, emphasized the collaboration between the Brewers and Blackshoe Hospitality to craft memorable dining experiences.

In addition to the culinary upgrades, the Brewers announced participation in Major League Baseball’s Go-Ahead Entry system, utilizing facial authentication to expedite entry. While voluntary, this system allows faster access for groups and individuals through designated gates, still requiring standard security checks. Fans can opt-in via the MLB Ballpark App, with assurance that personal data is securely managed.

The Home Plate Team Store received a refresh during the offseason, expanding its inventory and introducing customization services. In tribute to legendary broadcaster Bob Uecker, who passed away earlier this year, the team launched a special merchandise line. Proceeds from these items will benefit charities supported by Uecker and his family, honoring his enduring legacy within the Brewers community.

Rideshare logistics have been improved with the relocation of the pickup zone to the south end of the Molitor Lot. Accessible from Bluemound Road and Yount Drive, this new location offers increased capacity and efficiency post-game. Additionally, over-the-air broadcasts bring ten games directly to viewers across Wisconsin, enhancing accessibility for fans tuning in from home.

This season at American Family Field promises an elevated experience through innovative technology, diverse culinary choices, and heartfelt tributes. Fans attending games in person or watching from afar can anticipate engaging with a revitalized atmosphere, celebrating both the sport and the vibrant culture surrounding it.
