NFL Unveils Plans for 2025 International Schedule Announcement
2025-05-08

The National Football League has shared its strategy for revealing select games from the 2025 season, engaging its six broadcast partners in a coordinated rollout. Over the course of next week, each network will take turns announcing specific matchups, culminating in a full schedule reveal. Additionally, the league plans to disclose visiting teams for international games, building on the already announced home teams set to play abroad.

Beginning with NBC's announcement on "The Today Show" on Monday, FOX and Prime Video will also unveil select games that day. ESPN joins the lineup on Tuesday via ABC’s "Good Morning America," while CBS and Netflix conclude the preliminary announcements on Wednesday. The entire schedule is set to be revealed at 8 p.m. ET. Furthermore, NFL Network will announce visiting teams for international games on Tuesday, complementing the earlier revelation of host teams such as the Los Angeles Chargers playing in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

International games remain a significant aspect of the NFL's global outreach efforts. Last season, Brazil hosted its first regular-season game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers at the same venue used during the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics. Recognizing Brazil as the second-largest international fan base after Mexico, the league emphasizes its commitment to returning to this market.

In addition to Brazil, other international venues include Berlin, Germany, where the Indianapolis Colts will compete; Madrid, Spain, featuring the Miami Dolphins; Dublin, Ireland, showcasing the Pittsburgh Steelers; and London, hosting three teams: the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns, and New York Jets.

Ahead of the official schedule release, fans can anticipate a series of strategic announcements designed to build excitement around both domestic and international matchups. These developments underscore the NFL's dedication to expanding its reach and enhancing the global appeal of American football.
