In La Crosse, Wisconsin, the Valley View Mall is undergoing significant changes as construction progresses on its latest development. The former Macy’s store area has been divided into ten parcels, with three already approved for construction. Notably, Mister Car Wash and Raising Cane’s have begun laying foundations, while Panda Express is set to occupy another space. Additionally, plans are underway for a Starbucks drive-thru. The $1.5 million project, led by GMX Real Estate Group from Illinois, promises further developments as discussions between the developer and potential occupants continue. Across the road, Crew Car Wash plans to add a new facility near the mall.

The transformation of the Valley View Mall in La Crosse marks a significant shift in local commercial landscapes. The site where Macy’s once stood is now being reimagined into a hub of diverse businesses. According to Tim Acklin, the Planning Manager for the City of La Crosse, several parcels have received permits and are moving forward with construction. Mister Car Wash and Raising Cane’s are among the first to break ground, with visible progress already underway. As spring approaches, residents can expect to see these structures rising rapidly.

One of the most anticipated additions is the arrival of Panda Express, which will soon fill one of the newly created spaces. Meanwhile, plans for a Starbucks drive-thru are also advancing, adding convenience for coffee enthusiasts. Acklin noted that while some details remain confidential, ongoing conversations suggest more exciting developments are on the horizon. This continuous engagement indicates a promising future for the mall's expansion.

Beyond the mall, changes are also taking place across the street at the former Red Lobster location. The La Crosse Commercial/Multi-Family Design Review Committee recently reviewed blueprints for a new Crew Car Wash. This facility, operated by a company based in Fishers, Indiana, will be their fifth location in the area. Collaborating with Kimley-Horn from St. Paul, the project aims to enhance the local service sector.

As the year progresses, La Crosse residents can look forward to witnessing the gradual realization of these ambitious projects. The mall’s evolving landscape reflects the city’s commitment to revitalizing key commercial areas. With multiple developments in various stages, the future of Valley View Mall looks bright, promising new opportunities and amenities for both locals and visitors alike.
