In partnership with local charitable organizations and Crown Subaru of Chattanooga, scouts successfully gathered over two thousand pounds of essential goods. This remarkable effort will translate into thousands of meals for families and individuals facing food insecurity within the region.

The annual "Scouting for Food" program operates under the guidance of the Cherokee Area Council, spanning numerous counties. The collected items are primarily directed to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, which efficiently distributes them through its network of partners committed to alleviating hunger. Melissa Blevins, the organization's president and CEO, expressed gratitude towards the scouts' dedication, emphasizing their role in providing both sustenance and encouragement to those in need.

Inspired by the scout motto to perform daily acts of kindness, this campaign involved active participation from various scout groups. Scouts engaged directly with their communities, distributing informational materials and collecting donations door-to-door.
