Lenovo Unveils Next-Generation ThinkPad Lineup at Mobile World Congress 2025
2025-03-02

At the Mobile World Congress 2025, Lenovo has introduced a series of new business laptops designed to cater to the evolving needs of professionals. Among the highlights is the innovative ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1, featuring a convertible design akin to Lenovo’s Yoga series and support for the magnetic Yoga Pen stylus. Additionally, Lenovo has updated its entire lineup with cutting-edge hardware, including Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen AI Pro processors, enhanced RAM capacities, and expanded storage options. The company also emphasizes the lightweight design of the ThinkPad X13 Gen 6, which weighs just 2.05 lbs but still packs powerful internals. Availability for most models is slated for summer 2025, with some launching as early as May.

The ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1 stands out as one of the most intriguing additions to Lenovo's portfolio. This device introduces a new form factor that combines the functionality of a traditional laptop with the versatility of a tablet. Equipped with a 14-inch, 400-nit WUXGA touch display, it offers an immersive visual experience. Under the hood, users can opt for up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 H or U 200 series processor, paired with 64GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of storage. For those who prefer a more conventional design without the 360-degree hinge, Lenovo has also refreshed the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 and ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 with the latest chipsets, supporting up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. These updates ensure that professionals have access to top-tier performance and reliability.

Another standout in the new lineup is the ThinkPad X13 Gen 6, described by Lenovo as one of the lightest ThinkPad designs ever. Despite its featherweight build of just 2.05 lbs, this laptop does not compromise on power. It supports either an Intel Core Ultra or AMD Ryzen AI Pro processor, along with up to 64GB of LPDDR5x RAM. Users can choose between a 41Wh or 54.7Wh battery, ensuring extended usage time. Moreover, the ThinkPad X13 Gen 6 is equipped with Wi-Fi 7 and an optional 5G connection, making it ideal for remote work and travel.

The remaining models in the ThinkPad family have also received significant upgrades. The ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 and E16 Gen 3 now support up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 U or H 200 series processor and 64GB of DDR5 RAM. Meanwhile, the ThinkPad T16 Gen 4 caps out at 32GB of RAM but still delivers robust performance. These enhancements underscore Lenovo's commitment to providing businesses with reliable and high-performance computing solutions.

Availability for the new ThinkPads varies, with several models hitting the market in May 2025. The ThinkPad T14s 2-in-1, ThinkPad T14s Gen 6, and ThinkPad X13 Gen 6 will be available starting in June 2025, priced at $1,719, $1,674, and $1,139, respectively. The ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 and ThinkPad T16 Gen 4 are set to launch earlier in May, costing $1,359 and $1,623. Lastly, the ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 and E16 Gen 3 are expected to arrive in Q2 2025, priced at $849 and $859. With these new releases, Lenovo aims to meet the diverse needs of modern professionals while staying ahead in the competitive business laptop market.
